Course Details

Day 1: Introduction to the new Core game development software. Exploring the interface of the program. Adding standard 3D objects on the map and exploring possibilities for their modification. (resizing, turning and twisting). On the first day we create a location for our future 3D game, deal with character management, general system settings and character revival. Let's run the simulator and check our created world.

Day 2: Automatic creation of territory and its modification.  We will learn how to create the sea, mountains, hills, hollows. Using the Territory Editor, we will create rocks and waterfalls. We'll learn how to add texture to already created objects. We are going to create a house, a garden, and a pool in our area. deal with materials like wood, stones, metal, bricks, ceramics, etc. Throughout the day we will run the game and look at the results of our work.

Day 3: We'll learn how to create game components and the world. Work with their properties. Add trees, stones, figurines, grass, chests, weapons, etc. to our world. Let's deal with the community of the game and the created components for it. Learn how to add them to our game location. We'll work with tinctures and collision. We'll learn how to publish our game and be able to test it in action with real players.

Day 4: We'll continue working with the Core game world. We will test the game we have already created. Let's set up the character. Work out the frameworks. Open up ready game worlds and modify them to suit you. We'll understand popular game projects that have already been created. Team Deathmatch, King of the Hill, Battle Royale, Dungeon Crawler, Racing and others. Game Frameworks will allow you to create games much faster.

Day 5: Finish with the development of the game and go into the active phase of testing. Arrange a championship with friends on the created game. Game files and the game itself created by the end of the course will remain publicly available on the Internet. So even at home in the evening on your computer, you can show your parents what you have achieved. And of course share a link to your game with friends.

– Outdoor time

Students will play team games outside; In case of bad weather, the outdoor activity will be replaced by craft and science workshops; Picnic in open space if the wether permits.

FAQ

– Being late

Arrival. The camp starts every day at 08:30. Please arrive on time. Those absent will be contacted by 09.30 at the latest.

Departure. The camp finishes every day at 17:00.

Should your child have to leave earlier or if someone else comes to pick him/her up, please inform us as soon as possible by email /WhatsApp.

Please let us know if you are unable to pick up your child at 17:00, so that we can arrange childcare. Fees (payment in cash):

– 30 minutes (departure at 17:30 maximum) CHF 7.50/child.

– 1 hour (departure at 18h00 maximum) CHF 15.00/child.

– Clothes. We recommend comfortable and sporty clothing and, if necessary, a change of clothes for teaching hours. A can of water, a scarf and a coat for park outings.

– Meals and drinks. Children get a daily lunch, which includes a main course, a fruit juice and a dessert. The menu is attached.

If a meal or the menu is not suitable for your child, please let us know by e-mail (education.ch@itstep.org) as soon as possible. In some cases, but not always, we can change the meal according to your suggestions. We therefore advise you to send in your child’s meals, which will be reheated on site.

– Refunds

Full refunds are available if you give a week’s notice of cancellation or if there are problems during camp that are entirely our fault. No other refunds are available.
